Hello everyone!! 

It's been close to two years since my last journal submission, which is to date the longest time I have ever went hiatus on Deviantart. Although I have been checking up on y'all from time to time, and at one point got so many notifications on everyone's amazing works I had to sit down and go through all of them! All of you have grown so much in your art and developments as badass DA members, it was quite exciting coming back to see what's changed thus far! 

But I'm sure one or two of you have asked: Where has Vegas been all this time?! 

Life, lol. Life and a very difficult art block that's been reoccuring since 2017. Ever since I moved to another state for college, I've had work, school, relationships, and personal work to deal with on a constant basis. At some point that year, I dug myself into a place where drawing became a loss of passion. I had no ideas in my head, and at times I grew so frustrated that I put my pen down and for a while just did not pick it back up. I would see other artists create unimaginable pieces that even with the inspiration still there, the period where I had lost a passion in myself just made it much more difficult to perform. 

But, I'm happy to say that I'm working on myself and my passion to draw each passing day. And a chuck of it is thanks to the watchers and newbies that continue to inspire me as a person and artist, who still leave a comment here and there, and those who are sweet enough to check if I'm alright. You guys are just an amazing bunch, thank you all for being so patient with me . Also, to my newbies hello and welcome!!    

On that note, I have recently begun new art that I'm hoping to share with y'all sometime in the near future! Here's some things that I'm currently working on: 

Hey Everyone!!

I'd have to say, this summer has been incredibly busy and a lot of things happened over the weeks! I've officially settled in and got some thinking to do about classes soon, done a lot of voluntary work, and very soon will anticipate my first job. I've also begun a relationship and have been happily dedicating my time to him   
May not seem like much, but I feel like my hands are full for the time being  
Let me address some things real quick:

1. I'd like to thank everyone for the kind birthday wishes! It warms my heart to see some of you have time for birthday wishes, and I'm very grateful!

2. For those new watches, HELLO! Sorry I've naught the time to personally shout out, but my gratitude is there!

3. I still have no comfortable way (or the free time) to digitally draw . On the few times I've tried Krita, my computer has a habit of slowing down or overheating itself if I keep the program up too long. I've also attempted to reinvest in Autodesk, but I'm not able to support an essentials account at the moment. BUT as I've learned from a Disney movie: "Keep moving forward."   I'll think of something lol.

Hey Everyone!!

I apologize for the lengthy hiatus, I did not think it was going to last this long lol. 

Well, I got to say that life right now could not be better! I've officially graduated high school with an advanced diploma, moved back to my home state, and took a lot of road trips within a span of two weeks. I've made some new friends, met some old ones, and bonded a LOT with distant family members; I got to say it's pretty darn amazing and definitely a nice break after finishing school. The moving process and traveling took a lot of my time, which is my only excuse for not updating things lol, and so far this summer looks like it's going to be booked with family gathering, and hopefully some opportunities to socialize  

I'd like to thank those who have commented or sent notes of my whereabouts, it is very kind of you all and helps with me returning back to the DA community. However, I'd like to apologize for those I have not responded to, especially to any requests/commissions/trades/etc. I hope to get back to you soon! 

Quick note, I no longer have Autodesk Sketchbook supported on my laptop, which may be an issue in regards to deviations. On the bright side, I've practiced with Krita a few times and hope to use that as an alternative for now. So I apologize if my artwork does not appear the same as previous works, and please be patient. Thank you!! ~ Vegas

P.S. How's life?   

Hey Everyone!!

Well I never did fix that Autodesk program and I later found out it's not supported on windows anymore _{damn it...} So I set out and downloaded this cool program called Krita, so far it's pretty neat and a good start to rebuilding photoshop memory haha. I'm going to stick with that for now, and hopefully find a new learning curve.

This also means my artwork will look very different from now on, especially since I'm going to have to adjust to a Wacom tablet.

Hey Everyone!!

So I'm really frustrated with my autodesk sketchbook app because, for some random reason, it keeps crashing every time I open up the app, try to log into my account, or even when clicking on the icon it immediately crashes. This has been going on since yesterday, which I had no problem drawing for an hour before it spontaneously crashed. I've never had any issues, and I have no idea what to do! 

I've tried restarting, troubleshooting, and checked for any issues on my tablet (I use a surface pro; windows 10), and I've found nothing wrong. I've also tried reinstalling the app and downloaded the same one on my phone (it works perfectly fine on the phone). So maybe it's my computer? Is there an update thing going on that I'm not aware about? 

Please, some advice would be really helpful. This is the only drawing app that works for me and losing it will cost me all my digital artwork
